Your Life Once
About us
We are curious about health, so we bring together material from different traditions and sources and set out everyday wellness topics side by side. This site is not medical advice, and it is not a clinic, a journal, or a pharmacy; it is for reference only. Everyone’s constitution, medical history, and medications are different, so it is best to understand your own situation and speak with a qualified health professional before starting any new herb, supplement, or dietary habit.
Herbs and practices affect people differently — nothing here suits everyone. Take it as reference.
Where the material comes from
- Classical texts in the public domain — Bencao Gangmu, Donguibogam (1613), Charaka Samhita and similar
- National formularies and public monographs, rewritten as facts rather than quoted
- PubMed abstracts where we mention a specific study
- Open records from bodies such as KIOM, MFDS, MHLW and NCCIH
- Our own notes on everyday customs, clearly marked as such
We do not use paywalled content, and we do not present subscription services as sources. Where a claim has no research behind it, we write that instead of dressing it up.
What we will not do
- Sell supplements, or link to buy anything.
- Rank traditions or score how well something “works”.
- Claim peer review, or present tradition as proof.
- Diagnose, prescribe, or tell you what to do.
